Masterfully written, edited and put together it's one of my favourite films of all time already. I'd heard about how good it was from several people but unfortunately due to it's staggered release schedule it didn't get released in the UK until Mid may. Often I find when films are hyped up like this that they fail to deliver but not only did this live up to my expectations, it completely surpassed them. - After rewatching it for a second time I thought go through why I love the movie, some of the hidden things in it you might have missed and also talk about what I took from the ending. If you enjoy the video we'd really appreciate you hitting that thumbs up button and also don't forget to subscribe for breakdowns like this almost every day. Now throughout it we follow Evelyn, a landromat owner who's not only struggling financially but also with her family. Her husband Waymond has filed for divorce, her father sees her as a disappointment and Evelyn struggles to accept her daughters sexuality and girlfriend. After being called in by the IRS her husbands body gets possessed by someone claiming to be from the Alpha Universe that wants her to help him stop a great threat known as the Jobu Chewbacc...Jojo Jubicki...sorry Jobu Tupaki who it's revealed is Alpha Joy. In the Alpha Universe, Evelyn discovered how to jump from universe to universe and she also pushed her daughter into doing this. Unfortunately it fractured her mind and Alpha Joy now lives in every universe everywhere all at once. Witnessing everything, Alpha Joy realised that nothing mattered and she put everything onto a bagel which created a black hole to destroy the entire multiverse. Yikes. I love this idea and Howard Bloom actually theorised that the universe itself was shaped like a bagel which is a nice little...nice little detail. Bagel shapes litter the move and even in the opening shot of the film we see the family singing kareoke in a circular mirror with the glass in the centre of it. After this switches we then get a circilur fan with a circle in the middle, a circular light with an inner ring and another circular mirror. You might also notice the Googlie eyes on the pillow which becomes important later on. Music - LAKEY INSPIRED - Arcade SoundCloud: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍

In this video we're gonna be going through the film scene by scene to point out all the hidden details, easter eggs and little gems that elevate this above most of the other movies released this year. Everything is really well put together with even the title sequence being something that is stagged out throughout the film during several shots that all echo each other. Now throughout the film we follow a laundromate owner called Evelyn who's down on her luck. After being called into the IRS her husbands body is possessed by a man claiming to be him from the Alpha Universe. He drafts her into a multiversal war a force known as the Jobu Tupaki who has the potential to destroy all life as we know it. The name Jobu Tupacki is a bit of a weird one and it was said by the creative team that this was chosen because it's just a bunch of sounds that dont mean anything. It's meant to be disjointed and incomprehensible much like the multiverse itself and all the things that exist within it. Revealed to be Evelyns daughter Joy she was selected by her mother to be someone who would travel across the multiverse. Unfortunately it fractured her mind and Alpha Joy now exists everywhere all at once. She can see everything and thus through seeing all life she realises that nothing actually matters. It's kinda like when you see those universe you are here memes and Joy saw everything as being insignificant. She placed everything onto a bagle and this has now created a black hole that can destroy all life everywhere. Now a Bagel being used for this actually has a deeper meaning. Howard Bloom theorised that the universe itself is shaped like a bagel and thus the idea that a bagel encompasses everything has more to it. From the multiple movie references to a flash of different universes, there's a lot to dig into with the Daniels newest feature film. Everything Everywhere All At Once, now A24’s highest grossing movie ever, has recently hit streaming services, so now is the perfect time to explore Everything, Everywhere in Everything Everywhere all at once, except not all at once because there's not nearly enough time to actually cover Everything, so really we’re going to explore somethings, in some of the places, in a 15 minute time span. Got it? Good. Be sure to stream the movie to further support A24 to produce more mind blowing films like this one and also inadvertently let Hollywood know that the multiverse is the way to go with movies now. We have a feeling we’re about to enter the era of lots of multiversal movies, so thank Marvel for that one. "Everything Everywhere All At Once" promises a lot with its title, and it delivers on… well, everything. The director-writer duo known as Daniels, aka Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, have gotten a reputation for their wildly inventive work, from the "Turn Down for What" music video to their audacious debut movie "Swiss Army Man." In their 2022 movie "Everything Everywhere All At Once," the duo tackles the topic of the multiverse, with Michelle Yeoh taking a leading role – or is that roles? – in the mayhem. Obviously, a movie that crosses universes and features several doppelgangers across many worlds is going to get complicated fast. This was one of my favorite films of the year, but I have to admit I needed to watch it a few times before I had a full handle on the story. If the film left you with a lot of questions, or you just wanted to get a brief refresher, you've made it to the right place. Everything Everywhere All At Once is a gorgeously dense film that absolutely rewards subsequent viewings. The Daniels nailed pretty much everything, but I especially loved how they managed to retain the sincerity of the film amidst all of the chaos. The core trio of Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan, and Stephanie Hsu were outstanding, and of course Jamie Lee Curtis put in one of the most hilarious cameos of recent memory. I'm expecting big things for this movie at the 2023 Academy Awards, and I think every ounce of it will be well-deserved.
Wow, who knew we were still capable of making smart, funny, wildly creative and emotionally satisfying movies with talented casts and great direction? Everything Everywhere All At Once proves it can still be done.
Everything Everywhere All At Once explained that the meaning of life is beautifully simple. Many see the meaning of life as the process of attaining or achieving something extraordinary; whilst others believe that there is no greater meaning to life whatsoever. Everything Everywhere All At Once doesn’t fall into either of these camps, and instead tells us that meaning can be found, not in any substantial thing, but in our everyday relationships to each other. //Sources// Seachris, Joshua & Kim, Richard (2018). Everything Everywhere All At Once is an unforgettable movie. After years of repetitive action films, Everything Everywhere stunned the movie world by making a story that as is thematically dense as it is entertaining. Finding meaning in a meaningless universe is a key aspect of the film, but my main takeaway is in regards to the "what could have been" mentality, which the story explores through Evelyn. I explore that idea in this analysis. Thanks for watching my video! This decision leads me to believe you’re a winner with unlimited potential for greatness. Everything Everywhere All At Once is a genre bending multiverse movie but it's also one of the most challenging and subversive representations of masculinity I’ve ever seen in any genre. It's best to watch the movie first and then come back and watch this :) *Please note: this movie contains some strobe effects PATREON Support this project on Patreon: 🤍 PAYPAL Make a one-time donation via PayPal: 🤍 WISHLIST Send research materials for video essays: 🤍 PODCAST LINKS Apple Podcasts 🤍 Spotify: 🤍 Google Podcasts: 🤍 REFERENCES • Ke Huy Quan returns in front of the camera 🤍 • Asian Men Needed a Movie Like Everything Everywhere All at Once 🤍 • The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity 🤍 SUBTITLES • Help translate this video over on Amara 🤍 TEXT TRANSCRIPT 🤍 COMMENTS Most YouTube comments are held for approval to reduce the number of trolls.
